Carpet binding is a finishing process where the edges of a carpet are sealed with fabric, tape, or other material to prevent fraying and enhance the look of the carpet. It's often done to custom-sized carpet remnants to turn them into useful area rugs, runners, or mats.
Carpet binding extends the life of your carpet remnants by preventing fraying, allows customization of carpet sizes and shapes to fit specific areas, and enhances the overall appearance of the carpet with a neat, finished edge.
Bound carpets do not require special maintenance beyond regular carpet care. Vacuuming and immediate stain treatment are generally sufficient to keep your bound carpets looking great. We also recommend rotating them periodically to distribute wear evenly.
